Jack Russell Technologies was founded by Flash Bezuidenhout, a self-confessed high school dropout who discovered a love of coding at fifteen in their native South Africa. Their talent was spotted early and they became a Database Administrator for one of the country’s major political parties before he was out of his teens.
Around the turn of the millennium, Flash moved to the UK and found himself unexpectedly back in the world of software, this time on a fruit farm in East Sussex, where the business owners were struggling with a software problem. Flash built them an in-house HR system.
That, more or less, set the pattern for everything that followed.
Over the next two decades, Flash worked across industries, roles, and technologies: as a software engineer, technical architect, database administrator, lead developer, STEM ambassador, and business analyst. They’ve rebuilt social platforms, worked on national infrastructure, and put consumer apps on the map.
Today, Jack Russell Technologies brings that depth of experience to businesses that need software to work harder. Whether that means building something new, fixing something broken, or finally modernising something that should have been replaced years ago.
The Brand
Why a Jack Russell?
Jack Russell have been a constant in Flash’s life since childhood. They’re not the biggest dogs in the room, but they’re arguably the most tenacious, the most loyal, and the least likely to give up on a problem.
Those are exactly the qualities Flash brings to every project.
